Spirit~sourceswiki
Be welcome here at Wikisource. It is nice to see you interest on some points here. But maybe you could try to use the button show preview when editing: it will show it how it will be without saving the whole page. If you save the page after every little change and every minute, so first the page recent changes will get quite difficult to read, and also the data base of wikipedia save every change for ever. Thank you for understanding. -jkb- 18:24, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
Logo question edit
Hello Spirit,
I noticed your excellent submissions to the Wikisource logo contest. I'm working on a series of interviews about open source for another Wikimedia project, Wikinews. The first one is here:
I'd like to have a nice series icon for all these interviews -- basically a symbol for open source software, together with a text like "Open Source Views". I immediately thought, "Hey, I remember that nice Wikisource logo. The 'source' connotations might work for 'open source', too!" But the logo contest seems to have been inconclusive, so I'm not sure if you'd be OK with me using that one as a basis. If not, would you like to design a logo/picture specifically for this purpose?
Again, I was really impressed by your work. I know lots of areas in Wikimedia where an artist like yourself could do some good, so if you enjoy doing this kind of stuff, I can send you other ideas as well. :-)
Best,
Erik (User:Eloquence)
Logo contests edit
Hi! Since you are one of the people who proposed very well-designed logos over here, I thought you might be interested in the contests for a meta:logo for Incubator and a meta:New logo for Wiktionary. I'd love to see some proposals from you. =] Looking forward to your participation! —Nightstallion (?) 06:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
What license? edit
Would you mind releasing you image:Spirit ws alt 01.png under any free license you wish? I've merged two articles on the Wikipedia, one on the Wikipedia logo, the other on the Wikisource logo, and I'm starting to write about the history of the other logos. As you logo was certainly one of the front runners in this suddenly aborted competition, it's important to archive it on Wikimedia Commons, and in the Wikimedia logos article. -- Zanimum 12:57, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed edit
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Spirit. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Spirit~sourceswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
