Esmúcese ente les flores
Seliquín la fonte clara,
Y llarimines esbarien
Pela mexiellina pálida
De la rapaza melguera,
De la neñina galana,
Que mira tristi colar
Ente les roses el agua.
¿ Qué terná la probitina
Que perdió collor y gracia
Desque cantó un paxarín
Una tarde en so ventana,
Pos dexa los riziquinos
Vagar pela frente blanca
Y mira tristi riscar
Pel saliente I' alborada ?
Llora soliquina, llora
Magar la tarde apigaza;
Ya non canta, ya non ríi,
Etá bien aplipayada
Fálteni los colorinos,
Y da tristeza miralla.
Ya los güeyinos azules
Non allegren la quintana:
Esteláronse na nuichi
De lluna tranquila y plácida
¡ Ay de la probe neñina
La de carina amusgada !
Quieren facer sos manines
Una blanquina mortaya
Porque cantó un paxarín
Una tardi en so ventana.
