اِجتہاد
ہند میں حکمتِ دیں کوئی کہاں سے سیکھے
نہ کہیں لذّتِ کردار، نہ افکارِ عمیق
حلقۂ شوق میں وہ جُرأتِ اندیشہ کہاں
آہ محکومی و تقلید و زوالِ تحقیق!
خود بدلتے نہیں، قُرآں کو بدل دیتے ہیں
ہُوئے کس درجہ فقیہانِ حرم بے توفیق!
ان غلاموں کا یہ مسلک ہے کہ ناقص ہے کتاب
کہ سِکھاتی نہیں مومن کو غلامی کے طریق!
