اِنتداب
کہاں فرشتۂ تہذیب کی ضرورت ہے
نہیں زمانۂ حاضر کو اس میں دُشواری
جہاں قِمار نہیں، زن تُنک لباس نہیں
جہاں حرام بتاتے ہیں شغلِ مے خواری
بدن میں گرچہ ہے اک رُوحِ ناشکیب و عمیق
طریقۂ اَب و جد سے نہیں ہے بیزاری
جَسوُر و زیرک و پُردم ہے بچّۂ بدوی
نہیں ہے فیضِ مکاتب کا چشمۂ جاری
نظروَرانِ فرنگی کا ہے یہی فتویٰ
وہ سرزمیں مَدنیّت سے ہے ابھی عاری!
