تقدیر (نااہل کو حاصل ہے کبھی قُوّت و جبروت)
نااہل کو حاصل ہے کبھی قُوّت و جبروت
ہے خوار زمانے میں کبھی جوہرِ ذاتی
شاید کوئی منطق ہو نہاں اس کے عمل میں
تقدیر نہیں تابعِ منطق نظر آتی
ہاں، ایک حقیقت ہے کہ معلوم ہے سب کو
تاریخِ اُمَم جس کو نہیں ہم سے چھُپاتی
’ہر لحظہ ہے قوموں کے عمل پر نظر اس کی
بُرّاں صفَتِ تیغِ دو پیکر نظر اس کی!‘
