خدمت خلق
کاش میں ایک پیڑ بن جاتا
پیڑ بن کر جہاں کے کام آتا
رات دن اک جگہ کھڑا رہتا
گرمی سردی کی شدتیں سہتا
خوب بارش میں بھیگ جاتا مگر
شکوہ ہرگز نہ لاتا میں لب پر
دھوپ میں لوگ میرے پاس آتے
میرے سائے میں وہ سکوں پاتے
چھاؤں میں آ کے بیٹھ جاتے پرند
پھول پھل پتیوں سے سب میری
پوری کرتے ضرورتیں اپنی
میں کسی گھر میں ایندھن ہی بنتا
یا عمارت کے کام میں آتا
الغرض جس طرح بھی بن پڑتا
خدمت خلق میں لگا رہتا
