Agar oqil esang bir nozanin jonon o‘lur tanbur,
Mug‘anniy komil o‘lsa nag‘mag‘a shodon o‘lur tanbur.

Chaman sahnida bulbul ingrayur g‘uncha ochilg‘uncha,
Bolon bo daf g‘ijjak istayon yakson o‘lur tanbur,

Qirar og‘ushinga bir gulbadan ma’shuqi zebodek,
Sanamlar birla ishrat istasang xandon o‘lur tanbur.

Demushdurlar, farang sozi ajab xush husni dilkashdur,
Maqomoti navoda anga ming chandon o‘lur tanbur.

Bo‘lub anga muzayyan tori noxun xolis oltindek,
Shahu shahzodalarning bazmida sulton o‘lur tanbur.

Olar ahbobi g‘amginu hazin dillarg‘a olamda,
Farahlik yetkurub go‘yoki bir Luqmon o‘lur tanbur.

G‘amu anduhi bemor yuzlari har dam sanga Rog‘ib
Agar bilsang, saning dardingga ham darmon o‘lur tanbur.
