The Ode dance is indigenous to Ọkpọsị.

Ode is a war dance
The dance was used in war.
to celebrate victory.

There were land disputes over farmlands.

They fought and returned home victorious. The dance was then used in celebration of their victory.
There is no particular time or month dedicated for Ode but played on request in order to entertain people.
