Well, I am surely not the one who will decide here something. I like the letters beeing in use in India (like devanagari etc) very much, the are really nice, but it is all my knowledges can judge :-). So, good luck with the solition... -jkb- 15:29, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Fix request

4th line is wrong. It currently reads śubha jyotsnā.... It should be śubhra jyotsnā.... Please correct to the appropriate ligature. Thank you.

Thank you, you are correct. The problem is with the typeface handling in my browser: the 'r' of the 'bhr' ligature is imperceptible.

There is another problem. Verse 3, line 6. The first word appears to be tomārai, with the vowel diacritic for 'ai' on the final consonant 'r'. This is wrong. The actual word is tomār-i (or tomār'i) meaning "yours, indeed" or "yours, only", the 'i' being added as an emphasis marker to the word tomār (spelled tomāra but with the final vowel 'a' not pronounced, as is common in the modern languages despite the spelling). The word initial character for 'i' is adjoined to the end of the word tomār as a separate character, not as a vowel diacritic on the preceding consonant 'r'. It will look odd in Devanagari, but it is quite normal in the Bengali script native to the poem. Thank you.
