भारतीय प्रत्याधिकार कायद्यानुसार लेखकाच्या मृत्युनंतर ६० वर्षांनी त्याचे साहित्य प्रताधिकारमुक्त होते. मरणोत्तर प्रकाशित झालेले साहित्य प्रथम प्रकाशनापासून ६० वर्षांनी प्रताधिकारमुक्त होते. त्यानुसार पुढील लेखकांचे संपुर्ण अथवा बहुतेक लिखाण प्रताधिकारमुक्त आहे. २०१२ या वर्षानुसार १ जानेवारी १९५२ पुर्वी मृत्यु पावलेल्या भारतीय लेखकांचे साहित्य प्रताधिकारमुक्त आहे.मराठी लेखकांची यादी खालील दुव्यावर आहे विकिस्त्रोतःसमस्त लेखक
