Not bugzilla

edit

With all due respect Thomas, though this is not Bugzilla a note giving the reason for the low number is certainly in order. Dovi 08:13, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

sure, but it is a bit outside the scope of this page. the full history of this page is read by a script that generates the graph; if the content of the page becomes uncontrolled, then the script will no longer be able to read it.
I did not see any mention of this bug in bugzilla, you should not expect it to be fixed that way. please file a bug with an appropriate description on the problem ("there is a bug" is NOT enough information).

My apologies Thomas (re: your comment on my talk page). I have been swamped and totally forgot about this. I will try to open a bug in the near future describing the problem, and then will post a link here. Dovi 17:28, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Thomas. At long last I have submitted a bug request Bug 12725!

In addition to the bug described there, in Hebrew we have still been unable to implement "display options" with "links to scanned pages" in the margin of the page, as is done in English Wikisource. You once wrote me the following:

This has nothing to do with the extension; the display option thing is generated by the Option template, that is included in the Page template.

It would be really great if there were clear instructions for how to implement these Option and Page templates on new wikis, perhaps at mw:Extension:Proofread Page or at en:Help:Side by side image view for proofreading.

Apologies once again for taking so long with this, Dovi 13:56, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

thanks, now I can understand the problem.
Concerning the display of page numbers, it is not documented because it is not really part of the extension. You do not need it to use the extension. There are two systems for displaying page numbers: on fr.ws they are in the margin, on de.ws they are inside the text. Maybe the latter system will be easier to adapt to RTL. in both cases, you need to add things to your monobook.js; copying the template is not enough. If you want to copy the system that is used on fr.ws, you need to copy (and possibly adapt) the functions displayOptionText, OptionText, GetCookie and SetCookie from our monobook.js.

Update

edit

update : This page is now 100% updated by bot. I removed spanish and catalan from the list, because the robot requires a separate namespace for pages. ThomasV 22:26, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

It would be nice to have although pictures for the proofread and the validated pages on this side --193.101.168.110 09:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Replag

edit

There often is a delay between the creation of new pages and the update of the toolserver figures. This is known as 'replication lag', or replag.

The current replag (in seconds) can be checked here.

ThomasV 12:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi ThomasV can you increase the size of the graph a little bit, and it would be useful to have the replag value - I think it is the s3 cluster - at the time of graphics generation. And the creation date should be shown on the page. Thanks --Joergens.mi 11:19, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ideally, I want to substract the replag from the time value on each measurement. ThomasV 08:06, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

here is a replag graph ThomasV 12:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

template

edit

I moved the previous statistics page to a template that is included in this page, so that anyone can edit this page. The bot will only change the template. ThomasV 07:07, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Norwegian

edit

Is it possible to add Norwegian (no)? On no.wikisource we have just started using ProofreadPage. Kåre-Olav 21:06, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could you point me towards some
You need to raise a request to have namespaces created for "Indeks" and "Side". See WS:S for the discussions about the Chinese and Spanish setup. When you created the bug, please add it to Wikisource:Bugs so we can keep track of it. John Vandenberg 05:44, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, I have created a bug and added it on the list. I should add that no.wikisource is "Norwegian Bokmål", not simply "Norwegian", as I wrote above. Kåre-Olav 18:35, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hm, nothing has happened yet. Does it normally take this long? Kåre-Olav 00:13, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
yes, it can take some time. ThomasV 09:04, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Good Idea

edit

Your extension with the graph for the validated Pages is a real good Idea --Joergens.mi 07:27, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I just wanted to calm things down; many pages are now uploaded by robots and will probably never be proofread. ThomasV 07:49, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

updated daily

edit

the graphs on this page : http://toolserver.org/~phe/stats.html are updated more frequenly

replication stopped

edit

replication is now stopped on the toolserver, which means that the figures are no longer updated, and replag keeps growing.

It is not clear when replication will resume, but it could take as long as one month, because new servers are expected to be installed at that time.

you may find more info on the toolserver mailing list.

Note about statistics

edit

I just fixed an inconsistency in the way the percentage of pr-texts is calculated. I used to use ss_good_articles as the total; however ss_good_articles only considers pages that have at least one link. Since a large number of wikisource articles are based on templates, they are not counted in ss_good_articles. As of sept 14th 2009, the total number of pages in ns-0 (excluding redirects) is used, instead of ss_good_articles.

Graphs broken?

edit

The data table against the graphs. There seems to be a significant lag or something is broken. billinghurst 08:17, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Magic words

edit

What is the difference between {{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} and {{ALL TEXTS}}? --Zyephyrus 17:30, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hm?? I guess {{ALL TEXTS}} doesn't exist?? Also not found in mw:Help:Magic words. -jkb- 18:34, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} does not count pages without a link. {{ALL TEXTS}} is a robot-updated template at fr and en.ws ThomasV 21:02, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oh, en + fr only - that's why I don't know it... Thanks. -jkb- 21:48, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Which number is the good one? Pages without a link included or not? --Zyephyrus 09:10, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Danish

edit

The danish Wikisource has started to use the "ProofreadPage"-system, but they are not within the statistics on this page.

Their categories are still "red" and they are still not translated to danish correctly. (I can read but not write danish.) -- Lavallen 12:16, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

they need to create namespaces in order to be on this page ThomasV 06:51, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
