اس نے جب کہا مجھ سے گیت اک سنا دو نا
سرد ہے فضا دل کی آگ تم لگا دو نا
کیا حسین تیور تھے کیا لطیف لہجہ تھا
آرزو تھی حسرت تھی حکم تھا تقاضا تھا
گنگنا کے مستی میں ساز لے لیا میں نے
چھیڑ ہی دیا آخر نغمۂ و فا میں نے
یاس کا دھواں اٹھا ہر نوائے خستہ سے
آہ کی صدا نکلی بربط شکستہ سے
