شوق کو کامیاب ہونا تھا
ہجر میں کیف اضطراب نہ پوچھ
خون دل بھی شراب ہونا تھا
تیرے جلووں میں گھر گیا آخر
ذرے کو آفتاب ہونا تھا
کچھ تمہاری نگاہ کافر تھی
کچھ مجھے بھی خراب ہونا تھا
رات تاروں کا ٹوٹنا بھی مجازؔ
باعث اضطراب ہونا تھا
