نومیدی و یاس چار سو ہے
اف کس کے امیدوار ہیں ہم
کس دشمن جاں کی آرزو ہے
جو موت کے خواست گار ہیں ہم
تو ہم سے ہے بدگماں صد افسوس
تیرے ہی تو جاں نثار ہیں ہم
وحشتؔ خاموش جل رہے ہیں
گویا شمع مزار ہیں ہم
