ہجر کی رات یاد آتی ہے
پھر وہی بات یاد آتی ہے
تم نے چھیڑا تو کچھ کھلے ہم بھی
بات پر بات یاد آتی ہے
تم تھے اور ہم تھے چاند نکلا تھا
ہائے وہ رات یاد آتی ہے
صبح کے وقت ذرے ذرے کی
وہ مناجات یاد آتی ہے
ہائے کیا چیز تھی جوانی بھی
اب تو دن رات یاد آتی ہے
مے سے توبہ تو کی عزیزؔ مگر
اکثر اوقات یاد آتی ہے
