Are you doing the sysoping these days? Until now I have been content to have it only on Wiktionary. I now feel a need to expand my horizons to include Wikibooks and Wikisource, and (when they go on line) all the other language Wiktionaries. I see that there will be a need to do various kinds of maintenance. I still don't want Wikipedia sysophood; I'm just too irritated by the deletionists and their attitude toward stubs. I have no need for it on any other project. Eclecticology 07:51, 5 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Thanks. Plus I've just commented on the Wikimorial page on Meta. Eclecticology 09:36, 6 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hi Mav,

On Brian's TODO Meta page, you argued against a separation on languages like http://fr.wikisource.org/. But I did not see there was a decision on this. Actually, some people from http://fr.wikipedia.org refused to use Wikisource because the menu is in English only, so a solution is needed soon, whatever it is. Yann 18:18, 20 Dec 2003 (UTC)

We've already gone over this here. No reason for a separate wiki/database just because MediaWiki lacks a selectable-language interface. It will come - Brion mentioned a long time ago this was a goal of his for Meta. Now that Wikisource and Wikibooks needs the same feature this is more of a pressing matter. Patience. --mav

Hi Mav,

Are you active any more here? If not your sysop status will probably be removed. Regards, Yann 12:48, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
