Sherlock Holmes images edit
Yes, all of the plates I have uploaded are from Sherlock Holmes short stories or novels. They are done by three different artists (I believe so far I have only uploaded plates from two of them), and the plates were drawn at different times--all of which would put the plates in the public domain.
Thanks for creating the template for those pictures. When I upload the rest of the plates, I'll be sure to put it on the description page. Zhaladshar 15:24, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I really don't know why the sub-categorization isn't working for all of the pictures (sometimes the wiki system is as strange to me as Greek). I'm not too terribly surprised, though, that it is not doing what we think should be happening. I'm not too sure why there are mismatching plate numbers, either; all I can say is maybe Djapipol changed the numbering on the plates when he downloaded them.
- And yes, I did hand convert my pictures into png format, since that is the preferred format for images of that kind. The only thing I know would work in terms of sub-categorization would be to delete all of the jpg pictures and change the links to the pictures of the png format. Otherwise, your guess is as good as (actually, since I don't work with categories that much at all, better) than mine. Zhaladshar 12:54, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I left the numbers in the filenames of the pictures the same as they were off the website. I believe that the website doesn't have all of the plates that came with the original work (explaining why some of the numbering goes from SH XXXX-04.png to SH XXXX-06.png), so I figured I'd leave it the same in case I came across the missing pieces. And thanks for the list of images; when I get a free moment I'll correct all of the links and post those images on the proposed deletions page. Zhaladshar 02:52, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
robot edit
Hi,
your robot wolfman2 tends to make the list of recent changes difficult to read. could you somehow register it as a robot? in other wikis, properly registered robots are hidden in the list of recent changes. I don't know exactly how to do that, I believe you'll have to ask a developer to register it somewhere in the config files.
thanks,

Songs of Innocence and Experiance edit
Where did you get the images of these pages, did you scan them yourself or get them somewhere on the internet? I would realy like high quality copies of all the plates. MeltBanana 22:13, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed edit
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Wolfman. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Wolfman~sourceswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
