This one is in French: Histoire du necronomicon, H-P Lovecraft, and seems out of scope (summary of Necronomicon).
This one is in Spanish: Ley de prestacion de servicios inmobiliarios del distrito federal, a Mexican law. No source, so I won't move it to es.source.

- Lenyepaneun: empty, index was deleted in Commons on 2017 (see File:Kumpulan piwejang R H Muhammad Nuh Cianjur.djvu).
- Carta del Almirante D. Cristóbal Colón al Sr. Rafael Sánchez, in Spanish, contains errors (year 1943 instead of 1493), too short to be an epistle, 100% modern ortography (license?), so I won't move it to es.source in these conditions.

I would expect an explanation in English about Confimed users, not one single sentence in Spanish. If you have a look at Special:UserGroupRights, you can see that more rights are connected to confirmed users than just uploading files. This page seems not to be very helpful. --Ameisenigel (talk) 17:43, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

editArticle "Язык - как канал познания" from "Erzyan Mastor" newspaper
editThe article:
It should be deleted from the Wikisource because seemingly it is not free-licensed. Actually it was written by Erzyan linguist Dimtry Tsygankin (Цыганкин, Дмитрий Васильевич in the Russian Wikipedia, there is no an English Wikipedia article on him at this moment), though his authorship was not signed in the article (proposed here for deletion) itself, but indication of his authorship was provided in the next newspaper issue — article Эрзянь Мастор/2003/20/Язык - как канал познания, a quote from it, in translation to English: "In "EM" No. 170 a mistake was made — the name of the author of this article was not indicated. ... We ask Dmitry Vasilyevich and readers to forgive us for this fault." Notwithstanding the decision of the owners of the newspaper that all the materials of the newspaper are licensed under CC BY 4.0, this decision applies only to works by staff employees of the newspaper, and cannot be applied to articles originated from independent persons outside the staff, whose copyrights are not owned by the newspaper. This author does not work as staff member for the nespaper — at least, we have no evidences for this; also we have no evidences that he submitted the copyright to the newspaper, or released the article under a free license; so far the article currently should be deleted. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. --Nigmont (talk) 18:37, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

This file contains 2 volumes of the periodical 'Progreso'. I think it should be deleted and the volumes added separetely with their original names (Tomo VIII and Tomo IX instead of 8a Yaro).
Also I’m not sure of the copyright status. The volumes were not published in 1908 as mentioned in the description of the file, but in 1931 and 1932. Rosacentifolia (talk) 17:08, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- If there is a reason to split the file, anyone is free to do it. Also, feel free to fix the description if necessary. Copyright doubts may be a reason for deletion by they need to be raised more precisely. Ankry (talk) 17:25, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, not sure how to handle this. Is there a way to split the existing file ? Or should I re-upload a split version of it ?
- The only infos I have regarding the copyright are the publishing dates written on the covers, 1931 and 1932, and the year of death of some of the contributors : 1969 for S. Bakonyi, 1999 for A. Matejka. I don't know if that’s enough to prove copyright infringement. Rosacentifolia (talk) 21:43, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Clean up Hungarian MediaWiki messages
editI’d like to have the following approximately 300 Hungarian MediaWiki messages deleted:
Some of them are simply not used anymore, and thus completely useless (e.g. MediaWiki:already_sysop/hu has been unused for at least a decade). Some are basically, but not entirely, the same as what comes with the software (translated at translatewiki.net), so they don’t contain extra value, but at least make the interface inconsistent across wikis (e.g. MediaWiki:showtoc/hu: neither “mutat” (local) nor “megjelenítés” (software default) is better, but the difference causes that the table of contents has a different toggle text here than on other wikis). Some are outdated (e.g. MediaWiki:passwordremindertext/hu lacks parameters $4 and $5). Some are actually broken (e.g. MediaWiki:previousdiff/hu uses an HTML character escape, which seems not to be allowed there). Thanks in advance! —Tacsipacsi (talk) 18:42, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
- We might need to look at this on a more broader way. Judging from Special:AllPages, especially Danish, French and Japanese seem to have many of these messages too. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 20:08, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- We might, but someone speaking those languages should review the list—I went through the messages one by one, skipped those that contain useful Wikisource-specific modifications (e.g. MediaWiki:aboutsite/hu agglutinates ‘Wikisource’ and would be different on other projects) and adjusted the Translatewiki versions when necessary. Deleting the Hungarian messages also declutters the list (making the MediaWiki namespace list three pages long instead of four), which helps further cleanup. So I think it makes sense to delete the Hungarian ones now and focus on other ones later. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 23:04, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree :) Unfortunately, my proficiency in Danish, French and Japanese is too low as well, so maybe somebody else is around to check them? --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 13:29, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

Done for the Hungarian messages with the exception of two (MediaWiki:Copyright/hu and MediaWiki:History copyright/hu). For some reason they are protected and cannot be edited nor deleted by me. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 09:18, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks! Those two messages can contain raw HTML (it’s not escaped before displaying them), and it looks like only interface administrators can delete them. editUnused template. According to its talk page, it was created to avoid category links to be processed as category links. However, this doesn’t work, and there’s a native solution (prefixing with a colon, e.g. [[:Category:Foo]]
) since April 2004. Also, it was created for use in Template:Auteur, which was deleted 16 years ago. (And the {{category}}
was removed from it almost 17 years ago, a week after its creation.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 00:29, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

- AJBot2 (globally locked as a long-term abuser) seems to have copied translatewiki:Translating:MediaWiki’s lead section, it makes no sense here. They’ve created many other pages as well; looking at a few of them, they’re just as useless, so I’d say delete all of them (except for Category:Wikisource pages with incorrect protection templates, which happens to be correct, and maybe their user talk page). —Tacsipacsi (talk) 15:40, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
