Users of Internet Expolorer report that fr:s:Mediawiki:Monobook.js causes errors in the browser: error in line 69, character 4: ERROR: Object required. and the same in line 119.

The error has been observed in French Wikisource and Polish Wikisource (the French monobook.js has been copied verbatim to PL).

I have no access to IE, so I cannot verify this myself.

I use IE, and I haven't gotten any messages like that.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 19:58, 30 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Editing with such an extension edit

The question now is, how to enable doublewiki editing with similar alignment. Sj 13:32, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The simplest instance: I want to edit a page in French while looking at its translation in English. If both pages have the same section structure, I want to edit a section in French while looking at its section in [English]. Sj
the extension does not allow to do that for now. a problem that arises is how to align text in the editor window with formatted text. I guess there is no easy way to do that... ThomasV 14:02, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bug #/link? edit

Using DoubleWiki for two versions in same language? edit

Has there been any talk of extending DoubleWiki to allow looking at two versions of a text in the same language (such as different translations)? --Mccaskey 15:54, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I want to be able to do this too. 109.158.169.10 11:54, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

fr.wikt is supplied edit

I've just installed this extension as a gadget on the French wiktionary and it's working fine.

However we also need it:

  1. In the edition mode.
  2. To download in MW:Special:AllPages/Extension:.

Common image, one for two columns edit

Hi! Is there a way to put one image across two columns exist? I try to write open technical papers in two languages at same time, and DoubleWiki pretty good for it. But i need each image place as common for both columns, instead of place same copy of image in each column, because images are language-independent. Can i do it with DoubleWiki? Thanks! jpka@93.182.12.2

{| border="1"
|+ TITLE
! Title col 1
! Title col 2
|-----
|colspan=2|[[File:Image]]
|
|-----
| bla bla
| bla bla
|-----
| bla bla
| bla bla
|}

in order to obtain:

TITLE
Title col 1 Title col 2
[[File:Image]]
bla bla bla bla
bla bla bla bla

Does this answer your need?

--Zyephyrus 09:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

It looks exactly like i need, *but* this example not based on DoubleWiki features and don't work using it. I need something like this:

I already configure my wiki as typical Interwiki site: (and it's work)

Case 1:
http://mysite/local_language/page_name
---
(...local language text...)
IMAGE
(...local language text continues...)

Case 2:
http://mysite/en/page_name
---
(...English language text which paragraph-to-paragraph match with local language text...)
IMAGE (SAME)
(...English text continues...)

Case 3:
http://mysite/en/page_name?match=local_language
-OR-
http://mysite/local_language/page_name?match=en
---
Left_column                   : Vertical divider line : Right column
(...English language text...) : Vertical divider line : (...local language text...)
IMAGE                         : Vertical divider line : IMAGE (SAME)
(...English text continues...): Vertical divider line : (...local language text continues...)

Now I want not to show two identical images, but replace both (and intermediate vertical divider line between it) to same image:

Left_column                   : Vertical divider line : Right column
(...English language text...) : Vertical divider line : (...local language text...)
                                    IMAGE
(...English text continues...): Vertical divider line : (...local language text continues...)

As you see, i'm unfortunately can't use here 'table' keywords like 'colspan=2'; i try to put image into 1-column table and tie 'colspan=2' to it, but it has ho effect on DoubleWiki parser. If there is a keyword for DoubleWiki parser for this task exist, something like '<div>' it uses for paragraph match, it will be excellent. the examle is not rendered correctly (anymore?) edit

The Criton example is not correctly rendered anymore (at least, fr me): in the sised-by-side view, the French text is not shown anymore (only some links to various translations at the top).

What shouldbe fixed?--Imz (talk) 00:37, 26 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you wish to match the French translation by Victor Cousin, the right address would be now [[fr:Criton (trad. Cousin)]] like this, if you prefer the Émile Chambry’s translation the address might be like this [[fr:Criton (trad. Chambry)]] but it ought to be fixed so that different translations can be matched. Is this feasible? --Zyephyrus (talk) 14:46, 26 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
It could be a possibility to add 2 French interwikis at en:Crito, couldn't it? I don't know if interwiki bots are prepared to this... -Aleator 14:56, 26 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
