Hello Tufche, welcome to the multilingual Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.

This wiki is the original Wikisource wiki, originally hosting works in many languages. The larger collections have been spawned into separate projects, leaving this wiki to serve as a central collaboration point, and as an environment where works without a language subdomain can be begin. Refer to our Languages list to see which languages still reside on this wiki.

Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.

The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page! -Zyephyrus 20:26, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ttrebeshina and others

edit

Please see File talk:Kasem-trebeshina.jpg and help us with the needed data. By the way, it is really better to upload to commons. Thanks in advance, -jkb- 09:50, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hallo Tufche. Just like I see now the same problem is arising with some other pictures of Albania authors you uploaded here, namely: File:Podrimja.jpg, File:180px-Lazgush Poradeci.jpg, File:220px-GFishta.jpg, File:Faik-konica.jpg, File:200px-Migjeni.jpg. Because of the nature of these files it is necessary to know the author (i.e. who photographed it and when, and date of the death of the photograph) and the source it comes from.

Question on possible copyvios

edit

Hi. I am really sorry, please do not understand this like a preassure or something like that. After the discussion on meta I just discovered by a chance some problems here and I would like to clear the problem and to help you by editing in this domain.

So. It seems to me that we must clear the question of the Albanian copyright law. Apart from the images - sie above - there are some more texts in Albanian which seems to me very problematic. The most copyright laws of the most European countries do not allow to upload such texts as public domain. First, the text of following authors are probelmatic:

living authors
authors that died less than 70 years ago

(as I cannot read the Albanian copyright law, I just assume that it use the same measure - 70 years - just like the most European countries)

Under this impression there arise also a question about the other texts which are categorized in the Category:Albanian. Can you give us some hints?

Thanks for cooperation, -jkb- 13:30, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

And now what? --Tufche 20:31, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well. Although I am quite unhappy for the discussion on the sq.wiki which seems to follow very insulting schemes ([1], and others, I know the google translator), I do not want to solve those problems here. For the Oldwikisource it should be assumed the following:

  • all texts must have a free licence i.e. public domain, gfdl or cc-by-sa
  • all texts that are not licensed as free text by the above mentioned licenses will be deleted
  • you should provide a correct licence according the Albanian copytight law that is saying this or that text is free
  • you can also let us know that the author gives his own text into the public domain, but only the author can do this via OTRS or a similar way
  • in all other cases the text must be deleted here and it does not matter what different users on the sq.wiki are like to think about it, this domain has its own rules

So, as I said, we need some explanations about the source of the texts and images etc. And, if you have some more questions please ask me, I am following this thread. Regards, -jkb- 20:53, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please see Wikisource:Possible copyright violations#Photos of Albanian authors and Wikisource:Possible copyright violations#Albanian authors and their work, tell us your meaning, otherwise the images and pages will be deleted, regards, -jkb- 12:01, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why should be deleted.--Tufche 20:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC) moved to Wikisource:Possible copyright violations#Albanian authors and their work, please see there, -jkb- 13:01, 3 March 2009 (UTC) Reply

And now what should I do for these .--Tufche 21:42, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well. My intention was to announce it to you and to give you or anybody else a chance to find some special reasons to avoid a deletion (this can happen when the author declares his work to be in the public domain etc.). Otherwise there is not much to do. But the best is to be more carefully in the future and to publish free documents only. In doubt you can ask every time at the Wikisource:Scriptorium.
